University GHG commitment kick-off

HLS Reps helped advertise the October 22, 2008 kick-off event celebrating Harvard's new greenhouse gas reduction goal. An estimated 15,000 Harvardians filled Tercentary Theater to hear President Faust and Former Vice-President Al Gore deliver remarks, and to munch on sustainable refreshments using compostable utensils. Reps were on hand to facilitate composting and recycling; their efforts meant that even with high turnout, the event produced only one bag of trash. It's all part of the University's comitment to help John Harvard kick the carbon!
